Classic consumer products from Warner Bros were featured at the 2018 China Licensing Expo, which was held in Shanghai from October 16 to 18.

The licensed products contained entertainment franchise “Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” DC’s much-anticipated film “Aquaman,” television and animation, as well as classic animation favorites such as “Looney Tunes” and “Tom and Jerry.”

Warner Bros also opened a new office in Shanghai.

“With the establishment of our Shanghai office, the consumer products business will be able to develop rapidly, to form strategic partnerships, and to explore the opportunities across the market,” Gillian Zhao, president of Warner Bros China, said.

One of Warner Bros key licensed franchises, “The Wizarding World,” continues to invigorate two of its powerful brands this year – “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts.” “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” will be released in November.

The first-ever standalone feature film about the mighty half-human, half-god king of Atlantis, “Aquaman” will be released in December, introducing an all-new, vast underwater universe.
