Shanghai hosts world's most advanced cinema screen
The world’s most advanced LED screen debuts today in one of Shanghai's Wanda cinemas, representing the potential of new display technologies in China.
The new LED cinema screen, featuring technologies from Samsung and Harman, features ultra high definition images and superior audio. It’s now available in one hall at the Wanda Cinema in Changning District. Wanda Cinema is the country’s biggest cinema chain by audience numbers.
This is the world’s first Samsung Onyx LED cinema, which gives China the world’s most advanced LED cinema, Wanda said.
The cinema, with features like high Dynamic Range (HDR) picture quality and infinite contrast ratio, makes the film going experience different to anywhere else. The technology can also be used in gaming, e-sport and theater sectors, Samsung said.
The first movie on the new screen is Wreck-It Ralph 2.
