Panda animation to share Chinese stories with the world

The co-produced animated series "Panda and Rooster" is now being broadcast on the children's channel of China Central Television (CCTV).
CCTV said the series is a collaboration between its animation company and Portuguese producer Stopline. The television company states that the 52-episode series is meant to “integrate characteristic elements and the cultures of China and Portugal.”
The show is about the adventure of two animal heroes, Panda Hehe and Barcelos Rooster. The rooster plays soccer and has a grandfather who plays Portuguese guitar, according to Lusa-Portuguese News Agency.
CCTV said "Panda and Rooster" will help Chinese children learn about a multicultural world, and at the same time share Chinese stories with the world.
"Panda and Rooster" is part of a series of international co-productions under the "Panda+" banner, which has already been joined by animation studios from the Czech Republic, New Zealand, Russia and South Africa.
