New season of 'Touch Future' airs on local TV

The fourth season of “Touch Future,” a TV interview program about science and technology, will air on Shanghai's News Channel at 8pm from August 22 until 30.

A total of 17 local scientists and experts will discuss their latest scientific achievements and share stories about the research process.

Among them are Dr Zhang Wenhong, chief of Shanghai's expert team for coronavirus treatment, materials scientist Zhu Meifang and internal medicine expert Shao Junbin. 

New inventions will also be introduced on the program, including new types of dredging equipment and transportation software.

Additionally, the new season will provide insights into the work places of the scientists and their daily lives.

On August 27, an exhibition of the city’s new scientific achievements will kick off at Shanghai Tower.
