Swim suits and bedding are the latest products to fall foul of quality tests.

They failed for fiber content and poor color fastness.

A batch of swimming clothing labeled Jialang and sold at the  Bailian Nanfang Shopping Mall outlet of Carrefour failed for unmatched filler content compared with its label marking.

A batch of Rolling Coaster swim suits for women sold at Jiading RT-Mart were found to have the same problem.

The substandard list also included two batches of swim wear labeled Jinsirong and Xiayan sold at the Yangpu branch of Century Mart.

A batch of swim suits made and sold by Shanghai Yunneng Clothing Co failed for poor color fastness. Clothes with poor color fastness can bleed dye onto the skin, which can be harmful, officials said.

In total, the bureau tested 30 batches of swim suits.

In addition, four batches of bedding products also failed tests.

They included a batch of pillowcases made by Suzhou Taihuxue Silk Co and sold at Shanghai Huizi Department Store . These failed for poor color fastness to water, sweat and light.
