One million balloons were inflated for a balloon carnival that kicked off at Shanghai Happy Valley in Songjiang District on Friday to mark Children's Day.
The amusement park has been turned into a balloon kingdom, with balloons being made into different settings such as a European town, an American jungle and a polar world.
Visitors will see a 13-meter-long dinosaur fossil, a 5.5-meter-high off-road vehicle, a flower wall and a submarine tunnel — all made of balloons.

A variety of games and performances related to balloons — such as blowing up balloons, carrying balloons and balloon shows — will also be staged during the carnival, which will run through June 10.
Children who visit the amusement park during the carnival will receive a balloon as a gift.
