Cruise terminal bursts into song
Thousands of residents and tourists recently joined a flash mob at the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal in Shanghai’s Baoshan District to sing "My Country and I."
A child’s voice led the song played by pianist Song Siheng and violinist Huang Mengla. Tourists stepping down from a cruise ship joined them at the plaza.
National model worker Hu Shuangqian, traditional Chinese opera artists Gu Haohao and Shi Yihong, and world table tennis champion Cao Yanhua sang along with them while waving national flags. A huge national flag was unfolded when their voices brought the atmosphere to a climax.
