A drone's eye view of island life
A drone flew over Chongming Island, the country's third largest island, to record the natural scenery and the human environment featuring the Yangtze River Tunnel Bridge, Dongtan Wetland Park, Genbao Football Base, Dongping National Forest Park, Xisha Wetland area and Chongming Academy.

The Yangtze River Tunnel Bridge, spanning 25.6 kilometers, opened for traffic on October 31, 2009. An island landmark, the bridge is the world's largest construction project combining a tunnel and a bridge.

Dongtan Wetland Park, on the island's east side, is a major passage for migrating water birds in the Asian-Pacific region and a route for the annual migration of various species of fish.
