Pudong court's one-stop efforts
The Pudong New Area People's Court is striving to facilitate construction of a one-stop office for dealing with commercial disputes concerning foreign affairs, combining lawsuits, mediation and arbitration, the court said on Tuesday.
It has also set up a free trade zone court and a trial station of the free trade zone intellectual property court's Lingang branch to serve companies in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone's Lingang Special Area.
It will improve its big data system for cases related to the free trade zone, which can automatically collect, analyze such cases in Shanghai and across the country. It can prevent risks and report new problems emerging from these cases to relevant departments in time.
It will work on connecting the system to the Pudong government's online platform to share information.
It will also explore a credit restoration system for debtors who have fulfilled their duties, to remove them from its blacklist. For those genuinely regretful and who express a strong desire to pay but are unable to do so, the court will give them an evaluation and possibly restore part of the credit they lost.
