Metro passengers in Shanghai will have their temperatures measured at 51 more stations from Thursday.
Temperature screenings for Metro passengers were first introduced at nine stations on February 3.
Most of the stations adding temperature checks are located in suburban areas of the city. Those in downtown areas include Xinzha Road station on Line 1, Dong'an Road and Yishan Road stations on Line 4, Dashijie station on Line 8, and the Natural History Museum station on Line 13.
It takes only about two seconds to check the temperature of a passenger with a hand-held sensor.
