1 more imported case reported in the city
One new imported case of novel coronavirus was reported in the city on Wednesday, while two imported cases, both from the UK, were discharged from hospital upon recovery, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Thursday morning.
The patient, a Chinese studying in the UK, arrived at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport on April 17.
The newly diagnosed case has been transferred to the designated hospital for treatment and 41 close contacts on the same flight have been tracked down and put under quarantine and observation.
So far, of all the 301 imported cases, 201 have been discharged upon recovery and 100 are still hospitalized, including one in critical condition.
Another 11 imported suspected cases are undergoing test.
No new locally transmitted cases or suspected cases were reported on Monday.
Of the 339 local cases, 331 have been discharged upon recovery and one being hospitalized is in serious condition. There have been so far seven local fatalities.
No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation right now, the health commission said.
The city government said both local enterprises and individuals can apply for nucleic acid test. A list of hospitals and testing facilities has been released by the authority with contact numbers for consultation and reservation.
