City launches clean-up, disease prevention campaign
Amid ongoing work aimed at coronavirus prevention, as well as a local campaign against vector-born diseases like dengue and hemorrhagic fever, the city has cleaned up some 5,300 old residential complexes and 1,600 wet markets recently, according to the Shanghai Health Commission.
Health professionals have also visited communities, eateries and enterprises to offer direction on mosquito and rat control.
Governmental buildings have taken a leading role in the campaign, officials said.
