Last batch of medics end their quarantine
The last batch of 51 medics, from Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, return to the hospital after their 14-day quarantine on Friday.

The last batch of medics who have served in Hubei Province in the fight against coronavirus were released from 14-day quarantine on Friday. Their release marks a happy ending for all the 1,649 Shanghai medics who supported Hubei, with none of them infected.
The 51 medics from Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital went to Wuhan, former epicenter of the pandemic, on February 19 and had been working at Leishenshan Hospital, the second emergency hospital, for 52 days.
In the C2 section of the hospital, they worked with medics from Shanghai Fifth People's Hospital and received 116 patients, including 47 in serious condition. All have recovered and been discharged.
The hospital held a ceremony for the medics and another six who served at the Shanghai Clinical Public Health Center, a designated hospital for coronavirus patients.
The hospital sent 37 medics to the center, the largest number among local hospitals in the city.
A special section of the ceremony moved everyone, where medics had a video dialogue with a recovered patient, who had been treated in the C2 section of Leishenshan. The patient expressed his gratitude to all the medics who had helped and treated him.
“I am so proud of all my medics, who have conquered all the difficulties to serve on the front line of coronavirus under great risk. All of the people will remember their devotion,” said Chen Fang, Party secretary of Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital.
