No locally transmitted coronavirus cases in hospital
Five patients infected with the coronavirus were discharged upon recovery on Sunday.
This includes an Indian man, reported as a locally transmitted case after going to a quarantine area to take care of his daughter who had arrived from India, according to Shanghai Health Commission.
The other four cases are Chinese who were infected overseas.
To date, 706 patients have been discharged upon recovery in the city, the commission said.
The 38-year Indian man was confirmed infected on June 29, when his 5-year-old daughter was also declared infected on the same day.
The girl arrived in the city with her mother from India on June 20. Both were put into quarantine upon arrival.
Her mother was confirmed infected on June 21. Her father, who came to Shanghai in March for work, went to the quarantine area to accompany the girl under approval. He then started to show symptoms.
By Saturday, the city reported 391 imported cases and 342 local cases.
With the discharge of the Indian man, no locally transmitted cases are hospitalized for treatment at present. There have been seven local fatalities.
