Sharing resources and experiences for better education of children
The China Welfare Institute signed an agreement with the Shanghai Education Commission and the government of Jiading District on Saturday to promote cooperation in education, culture and health care.
The institute and the commission will cooperate in areas including child nursing, preschool to higher education and out-of-school education.
The two parties will share resources and experiences, to develop model programs for the combination of education with health care and culture as well as the integration of school and out-of-school education. They will also cooperate in talent cultivation in these areas.
The cooperation between the institution and Jiading will focus on basic education and out-of-school education.
The institution will manage a new school with first to ninth grades in the district. They will together build up a China Welfare Institute Little Companion School as a regional model for out-of-school education. They will also develop programs for international youth exchanges, enriching young people's cultural life with events such as performances of child plays, cultural festivals, sports competitions and reading activities.
The institute and the district will also explore cooperation opportunities in maternal, child and senior care.
