Two contact points with procurators were established at town-level chambers of commerce to protect the business environment in Jiading District, Jiading's procuratorate said on Monday.

These are the first of their kind in the city, procurator Liang Chuncheng said during a conference.

The points are in Nanxiang and Anting areas. Zong Bing, deputy director of the standing committee of the district’s People’s Congress, said both areas were key places for economic development in the district.

Liang said that before the establishment of the contact points, the procuratorate only had service corps with fluid staff members to provide guidance and consulting services for companies in the district.

During the conference, a book with 20 classic cases about copyright, trademark and trade secret was released.

A book with 20 classic cases about copyright, trademark and trade secret was published by the Jiading's procuratorate on Monday.

"Cases, like textbooks, can help the firms understand the law and authority better," said Zhu Haixiang, a deputy chief procurator.

In the near future, the procurators being in charge of the contact points will issue more cases about business regularly. They will also hold salons and lectures online and offline to provide a platform for knowing firms' judicial problems during their operation and popularizing law, Liang said.

Zong said the procuratorate should release more related cases after the implementation of the Civil Code at the beginning of next year.

"Some law and regulations will be changed according to the Civil Code so it is necessary that the authority guide the corporations to understand it as soon as possible," Zong said.

The procuratorate and the district's association of industry and commerce will also work together for a better business environment.

Zong said some firms, especially small and micro companies, are easily be infringed during their initial operational stage.

Zhang Bo, a representative from Jiading-based Shanghai Zuoanxinhui Electronic & Technology Co, said the company felt it was backed by the law.

Qiang Renliang, director of the district people’s congress, said the cooperation can also solve the problem of a lack of legal awareness by small and micro enterprises.
