Health education week kicks off in the city
Local health officials unveil a public WeChat account to offer information about all hospitals’ health education events through webcast, stories and videos.
A weeklong health promotion campaign began in Shanghai on Wednesday with the participation of 39 local city-level hospitals.
The campaign covers coronavirus control, disease prevention and public health, with online and offline events aimed at helping residents understand hospitals' capabilities in terms of major public health management.
The public WeChat account "Shenkangkepuzhou" was also launched by Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center, offering information about all hospitals’ health education events through webcast, stories and videos.
A total of 360 educational events will be promoted through the account within the week, Shenkang officials said.

Hospitals have also prepared various activities and invited residents to visit. About 2,500 people are expected to participate in offline events where they can see hospital facilities for themselves.
Nineteen students were invited by Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital to learn how medical staff on the front line against the coronavirus use protective outfits and study infectious disease prevention.
They also went to a laboratory to see how coronavirus nucleic acid test samples are collected, transported and checked by medical staff.
