Loyal dog waits 80 days for owner killed in car accident
A dog has been sitting in the middle of a road for more than 80 days for its female owner who died in a car accident in Hohhot City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The dog sat up under the road guardrails with food brought by supporters, the report said, and becomes alert whenever someone approaches.

Netizens were moved by the dog’s loyalty and compared it to Hachiko, the famous Akita dog that waited for its owner at Tokyo's Shibuya Station every day in the 1920s.
“The dog sits on the road, rain or shine, after a woman died on the spot in a car crash on the early morning of August 21," said taxi driver Guo Xinhua.
Xu Xiaogang, a volunteer from a local charity called “Blue Hada,” told thepaper.cn that they were trying to reach the relatives of the dog’s owner and would find it a place to live if no one can be reached.
