'Dancing Elephant' to be released

Comedy film “Dancing Elephant” had a special screening in Shanghai on Tuesday. The film is slated for national release on Friday.

Directed by Taiwan filmmaker Lin Yu-hsien, the film stars Ai Lun and Jin Chunhua. It tells a story of a talented ballet dancer who doesn’t give up her dancing dream in spite of a severe traffic accident. With the help of a coach, she fulfills her dream. 

Comedy actor Ai Lun plays the coach in the movie. He said that the story inspired him a lot. He didn’t get many offers for acting after graduation, but persevered and his efforts paid off.

Lin, known for his heart-warming film “Jump! Ashin,” said that the film is about the power of dreams and is expected to give people encouragement in their lives.
