Areas with higher COVID-19 risks advised to suspend public entertainment venues
China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism has advised the suspension of business activities for internet cafes and entertainment venues in areas with a medium or high risk of COVID-19 infection.
According to the ministry's recently updated guidelines on the reopening of performance venues, internet cafes and entertainment venues, customers should not spend more than two hours in such venues.
The revisions aimed to make the guidelines more targeted and effective, the ministry said.
The revisions also refined the requirements for epidemic prevention and control, such as those on ventilation, storage of epidemic control equipment and refuse disposal.
