University students turn their dorm into KTV bar
Seven creative university freshmen in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, decorated their dormitory room as a KTV bar, greatly amusing Chinese netizens.

The students from Zhengzhou Technology and Business University got the idea to turn their room into something special as early as freshman military training, a compulsory start to university for all Chinese.
Later, one of them occasionally took a disco light to school, inspiring them to turn their dormitory room into a KTV bar.
They then bought some small colored lamps, new wallpaper and developed some photos to hang, costing them about 40-50 yuan (US$6-7.50) each.

But despite the rowdy look of the room — familiar to anyone who has been to KTV before — the considerate students are adamant they won't disturb other students and their studies.
"We only sing during the holidays," Gao Saisai, one of the roommates, said. "And we always sing without music, that way we won't disturb others."

Chinese netizens praised them for their creativity, while others reminisced about their younger days. "The warm atmosphere of their dorm room makes me really miss the happy times at school and in my dorm."
