Passers-by lift car to save trapped woman

A group of warm-hearted people in Lin'an, Zhejiang Province, lifted a car to save a woman who was trapped underneath on October 11, Xinhua news agency reported.

The woman was squatting on the ground in front of the car before the driver started the vehicle.

As it happened to be a blind area, the driver failed to notice the woman, knocking her down and trapping her underneath.

A passer-by rushed to stop the car when the driver, who still didn't realize what had happened, tried to run over the "obstacle."

More and more people came to her aid, trying to lift the vehicle off the woman. She was soon freed and rushed to hospital.

Luckily, the woman only suffered a leg injury in the incident which was not life-threatening.
