People who want to obtain a driver’s license can now take a test with the police after they had been suspended for two months due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Shanghai traffic police said on Thursday.

Driving tests are also available for people with other requirements, such as those who possess a driver’s license issued overseas and want to get a local one.

Motorists who have had the full 12 points deducted from their licenses can also reserve tests to enable them to get on the road again.

Police said anyone taking a test is required to wear a mask and gloves and have their temperature taken when they arrive.
